What’s the difference between Food Handler Certification and ServSafe® Food Manager Certification?
- A Food Handler is a Food Establishment employee who works with unpackaged food, food equipment, food utensils or food contact surfaces. Examples include: food prep, cook, dishwasher and wait staff.
- A ServSafe® Food Manager needs to know the concepts of food safety and their role in providing food safety knowledge to their employees. In addition, they must create opportunities for on-going food safety training.
